Learn, Grow, Succeed!

Best Summer Ever

The Kids’ Club Summer Program provides children a safe, supportive and fun summer experience. One four-week session is offered with 20 children enrolled total. The children receive breakfast, lunch and snacks. With the exception of the first and last day of a session, the children are on field trips. This gives them the opportunity to explore the bigger world.

The program is designed to stem summer learning loss by providing children with constructive, fun, hands on activities. Kids’ Club has partnered with the Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative (HSLI) since 2008. HSLI provides training and support for the program’s Nature Curriculum.

The Kids’ Club follows the Nature, Fitness, and Nutrition Curriculum, which is designed to teach natural science in a fun, hands-on, exploratory way, and teach children about staying fit, healthy, and making the right decisions. The children visit ponds, lakes, a river and the ocean where they explore first-hand the differences and similarities of these bodies of water. Through activities such as organism hunts, building ecosystems in a bottle and fishing (many for the first time), they get excited about learning science. Every day the kids participate in at least one literacy activity, which they know as “relaxation stations.”
