Dear Friends of The Gray House,
I am writing to share the news that I will be leaving The Gray House at the end of April, 2020. I am so proud of all that our team accomplished during my time as executive director and wish that circumstances would allow me to continue serving this community. At the end of April, my husband and I will be moving to Charlotte, North Carolina to pursue a job opportunity he received.
Over the past 11 years, The Gray House has held a special place in my heart. Serving The Gray House as a volunteer and Kids’ Club counselor throughout college and later as a board member and the executive director has been a privilege and one of my greatest joys. It has been an incredible experience to work alongside the dedicated employees, volunteers, supporters and community partners who make this work possible.
I am extremely confident in our current staff, board and volunteers to continue The Gray House mission. I know that we will find the right person to fulfill the role of executive director and that our future leader will continue to elevate the organization. I have committed to retaining many of my current responsibilities and assisting with the transition remotely until a new leader has been hired and able to take over the position fully.
I want to thank each of you for your generous support of The Gray House and entrusting me to lead this organization over the past few years. While it wasn’t nearly long enough, please know that I gave everything I could during my time here and, in return, this Gray House community gave me so much fulfillment and purpose. I know that this is not goodbye. Springfield and The Gray House will always be a part of who I am. The relationships and experiences I gained during my time here and the spirit of The Gray House will stay with me on my new adventure. I am optimistic for the organization’s future and ask for your continued support and belief in our mission as we begin this new chapter.
