A Message from Dena Calvanese
Dear Friends,
As you may know, this Friday will be my last day at The Gray House. I’ve been the Executive Director here for nearly 10 years. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity. The Gray House is truly a unique and special place to work.
Over the years, I’ve had many opportunities to thank you for the time, energy and donations you have given to The Gray House. I’ve shared stories of how your support has made a difference for the people we serve.
Today, I want to thank you for the support you have provided me personally. Your encouragement and care has sustained me. Your chats and friendship have brought me joy and lots of fun memories. I am so very grateful that you have been a part of my experience at The Gray House.
I am going to miss my amazing team, the Sisters, the people we serve, our volunteers and donors – and the tremendous sense of community that exists here.
At the same time, I know The Gray House will benefit from the energy, creative ideas and skills that the next Executive Director will bring. It will be exciting to watch The Gray House and its programs enter a new phase.
I encourage you to be a part of this new phase – please continue to volunteer and donate and please welcome the new Executive Director. I needed and appreciated your help all these years and I know she will, too – as The Gray House truly is all of us working together to be a “place where peace is lived and learned and hope is shared.”
Thank you for being a part of my Gray House experience.
With gratitude, peaceful wishes and love,
Dena
