New Partnership with Urban Potential, Inc. – Volunteers & Students needed!
**Update: Due to the expected storm on Tuesday evening, we have moved the volunteer training from Tuesday to Wednesday, 2/13 from 6-8pm**
The Gray House is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Urban Potential, a 501(c)(3) based out of Trinity United Methodist Church in Forest Park, to offer evening ESOL classes to low-income adults in the community.
Urban Potential is currently recruiting for volunteers and students for the first session of classes which begins on Monday, February 25.
New student registration is Monday, 2/11 and Thursday 2/14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Also, we are recruiting volunteers to assist the lead teacher in the classes. There is a 12-week commitment and a tutor training will be held Wednesday, February 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church on Sumner Ave in Springfield. If you know of anyone that would like to make that commitment, please let him or her know about the training.
